Portrait de Thomas Collet

As a child, I dreamt of adventures with a crew. Of tight-knit teams made up of unique and strange individuals, living together in a shared shelter from where each story began.

I think of my place as that of a sensitive core and a versatile mind, a trusted jack-of-all-trades, able to team up with gifted people, and with them achieve great things.

My journey has been marked by this quest. For fifteen years, I...

  • studied theatre, communications, project management and artists' rights ;

  • lived with a performance company;

  • performed, improvised ;

  • written and directed;

  • advised artists and architects.

Today, in the form of a show or video game, I'm looking to bring immersive experiences to life, with the ambition of widening reality.

My aim is to create works that enthrall, shake things up and leave us feeling stronger. To this end, I use my skills in analysis, writing, structuring ideas and team management.

Vision

My portfolio includes an analysis of the creative process behind each project.
Most of them are team projects, produced by talented people with whom I seek to create works of which we can be proud of. Works that matter, that move people and that leave a mark.

I aim to make everything I work on more interesting. That's a big ambition, and it takes hard work and attention to lift our creations beyond the superficial.

Ultimately, making things more interesting is what it's all about: digging, mixing, confronting, simplifying, softening, in order to meaningfully contribute to what already exists.

To achieve this goal, I apply methods based on listening, curiosity, inspiration and the search for balance. I'm talking about a constantly shifting asymmetrical balance — the kind dancers know. A balance between efficiency and complexity; between entertainment, artistic ambition, and cultural responsibility.

Work Process

I believe the way we do things carries as much value as the outcome itself.
From my years working within a troupe, I’ve kept a deep attention to the conditions in which collective projects are made.

The time spent creating isn’t a disembodied or suspended moment—it’s life in motion. And it deserves to be made meaningful too, to thrive in a healthy, inspiring environment.

To support this work, my eclectic background has led me to develop three specialties, each grounded in imagination:

FINDING INSPIRATION
(my love of unexpected connections keeps me from going in circles)

ANTICIPATING RISKS
(my cautious nature helps me spot potential problems early)

SEEING THINGS FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE
(I know how to shift perspective and understand diverse professional viewpoints)
